MCCR - Wow Wedding Weekend Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room Wow Wedding Weekend Blog Hop.

My brother in law got married this year and I made these invitations for his bachelor party. The guys met at a cemetery to kick it off and set the large tombstone in the ground to perform a mock funeral to mourn the loss of his bachelorhood.

Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge

For their wedding card I used scraps of paper from the wedding invites that I did for them.

My Cricut Craft Room Design Team Project - Festive BBQ or Block Party

Today's My Cricut Craft Room design team project was to create a paper craft with either a festive BBQ or block party theme. I used one of my favorite Cricut cartridge, Simply Charmed, to make this picnic themed card.  I used some paper I've been hoarding from the DCWV Sweet Stack on the watermelon.  The checked paper is from DCWV Grandma's Kitchen.  The stamps that I used are from K Andrew Designs, who is unfortunately closing up shop.

My Cricut Craft Room Design Team Project - Anything Purple

Todays My Cricut Craft Room design team project was to create a paper craft using the color purple and whatever Cricut cartridge I wanted.  I used the Preserves cartridge to make this sweet bunch of grapes for my card (cut at 4" on my Gypsy).  The sentiment comes from K Andrew Designs "More Food For Thought" stamp set.  I emobossed the white center panel of my card using my Cuttlebug and a new chicken wire folder that I picked up from Joanns.  I used some mulberry paper flowers from my stash and a couple of my home made stick pins.  I highlighted the green leaf with a Bic marker and put some Studio G clear glitter on the grapes along with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (I think it was Concord).

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - Graduate

I used the Wild Card cartridge to make this graduation card. I made the tassel out of some bakers twine. The sentiment is from Mary at CardzTV.

Paper Playtime Challenge - Buttons or Brads

I used the County Fair and Best of Pixar cartridges to make this birthday card for my brother. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs. My brother owns a gun shop, so this will fit him pretty well.
I'm entering this into this weeks Paper Playtime challenge http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/?m=1

It was kind of hard to pick out a list of favorite projects as I've made SO MANY that are my favorites.  I'm pretty addicted to my Cricut and have been for a couple of years now.  I went through my Pinterest board and picked out some of my recent faves though.  Let me know what you think below for a chance to win a set of my home made stick pins (USA residents only).  If you are from outside the USA you havea  chance to win a personalized digi from www.scraphappypapercrafter.com.

I used the Mustaches and Glasses Cricut Craft Room set to put this vinyl mustache on the front of my car.  I've had a LOT of compliments on it.

This cute vinyl family is from the Car Decals cartridge.

I put this wreath up in January for Valentines Day and left it up awhile in preperation for Spring.  I love to make new wreaths for the front door!  I used the Flower Shoppe and Birthday Bash cartridges on this wreath.

I used Flower Shoppe to make this sweet bouquet.  I've given most of these pretty flowers away now.

I used the Create a Critter Cartridge to make this faux Hello Kitty bow holder for my daughter's bathroom.  I also used Teddy Bear Parade for the dress.

This was my nieces birthday card.  I made it using the Best of Pixar cartridge.

We had a fun sleepover at my nieces house.  I used the Best of Pixar cartridge to make these awesome "puppets" for us to play with.  I laminated them with my YourStory and hot glued them to tongue depressers.  We had SO much fun playing with the big door that I made out of foam board and the "puppets."

I made the below glasses and mustache to go inside this card for a friend's daughter's birthday.  The mustache on the card is attached with velcro so it comes off to be "worn."  I made these using the Mustaches and Glasses Cricut Craft Room set.

My Cricut Craft Room Design Team Post - Make a Paper Craft Using a Cricut Cake Cartridge

Today's My Cricut Craft Room Design project was to make a paper craft using a Cricut Cake cartridge.  I used the Birthday Cakes cartridge to make this card.  I embossed the tea pot top layer with my Cuttlebug using a new folder called Cross My Heart.  I really love the new Cuttlebug folders!  If you haven't gotten a chance to check them out yet, make sure that you do.  They have a small slit in the top so you can emboss much longer sheets of paper for scrapbooking pages.  They are also larger than the older standard embossing folders.

I inked around the edges of my project with Tim Holts Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I popped the tea cup up on two layers of foam tape to give the card some extra dimension.  The sentiments are from a stamp set from CardzTV called "Brew Ha Ha."  I cut the tea pot at 4" and the cup at 2" using my Gypsy.  I hope you enjoyed this project and check back for some more exciting design team posts for My Cricut Craft Room!

Teacher Appreciation Card

The kids in Meghan's preschool class love to be "clipboard helpers." I decided to make some clipboard cards for teacher appreciation week. I used Simply Charmed to cut the notebook paper at 6". I cut the brown card at 8 1/2 x 10 and folded it in half. The next part was a little tricky because I didn't have a cut for a clip. I made my own using my Gypsy and the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I welded a tag to another oblong image. I put some foam tape under the "clip" so it would stick up like a real clipboard. I used stamps from Mary at CardzTV.
