I'm really enjoying doing these fun blog hops with My Cricut Craft Room. Meghan and I made this project for Grandma and Grandpa for Grandparent's Day. We traced Meghan's hand and cut it out and glued it to the front. That was the extend of 3-year old Meghan's help, except her saying it was pretty when it was done.
I used Once Upon A Princess for the front die cut. I used Love You A Latte and made the image wider to do the book shape. I cut them out with chipboard and covered with scrapbook paper from my stash, I THINK it's DCWV, but honestly am not sure. I inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz Tea Die distress ink.
The pictures on the inside are from the Football Hall of Fame balloon festival this year. Meghan and I got our faces painted together at my work's tent. We were SO COOL!!! :o) Your next stop on the hop is ERICA.
BLOG CANDY ALERT : for a chance to win some stickers from my stash, become a follower and leave a comment below about your favorite project that you've made with your Cricut.
The sentiment on the inside is from K.Andrew Designs "Of Mice and Little Men" stamp set.

Julie, this is super terrific. Love those face painting pics. Are you in or around Canton? I noticed you said Football Hall of Fame. Just curious since I lived and worked in Canton before. One of my favorite Cricut projects to date would have to be, umm, my latest project. I altered a composition notebook with some leaves, a tree, and framed it using Serenade, Flower Shoppe, and Lacy Labels.
ReplyDeleteHappy to be in the hop with you!
:O)

Thanks for showing us a great project you and your daughter made for grandparents day! How special! I love a scrapbook I embellished totally with my gypsy and cricut and added a little bling to for my bff's son who is deployed in Afganistan! It means a lot to him and should be there soon... if we think mail is slow we should try being deployed in the military on your birthday! Kathi

I love the tracing of your daughter's hand! I love to take little "fingerprints" of my children growing up like that, whether it be handwriting samples, love notes, pictures whatever. I have a dedicated box in my room for all of those little things. The project I am working on right now with my son so far is my favorite, he asked to make a 3D robot from the Robotz cart with me and it's so sweet to be doing a project with him. Especially since he's getting older and I know soon I won't be "cool" enough for him.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great keepsake your project will be! I love the addition of your daughter's hand!

I made a mini album for my Dad after the two of us went to Washington DC on an Honor Flight for WWII Veterans, I had gotten the Stars and Stripes cartridge so used this to adorn the pages I loved it and the sparkle in his eyes when he receive for Christmas was priceless. He still has it setting on a shelf to this day

I am your newest follower! Your frame/card is very pretty; I like that Meghan helped with her hand-cut. Hmmm, my favorite Cricut project has to be a 3D bird house that I made (with an SVG file) but embellished using Pooh & Friends Cartridge to look like Pooh's House in the Hundred-Acre Woods. I made it for a Disney Hop a year or more ago and it still sits on my shelf as a very favorite project.
