Ok crafty Cricut lovers, I need your professional crating opinion. I'm super excitedd because I THINK I'll have the opportunity soon to upgrade and get the Cricut Expression 2. Do any of you have it?
Currently I have my original small Cricut and my Cricut Expression. I LOVE my Expression and really never use my original one, so I've contemplated selling it. I really don't know if I truly want the Cricut Imagine, but I would love to have the ability to use the Imagine cartridges in the Expression 2.
So tell me what you think. Do you think I should get the Expression 2 within the next couple months, or just stick with the regular Expression????
I thought about getting the Expression 2 and then decided I am happy with what I have for now. I have the first one that came out and the expression. I also have a gypsy.
ReplyDeleteI have the Expression and the Imagine. I really like the Imagine except for the fact that you can't place your cuts were you want them like the Expression. I would think the Expression 2 would have the same issue since it uses the touch screen instead of the overlays. That being said, I see the Expression 2 is priced lower than the Expression right now on Cricut.com.
ReplyDeleteI have the e2 and I rarely use it. I works fine, but as mentioned above you can't cut images where you want on the may. I also have the Imagine. I do like it, just don't use it as much as I should. I find my best tools are the Gypsy with the Expression. I have invested in the Cameo and I find that a good compliment to my Cricut. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI have the E2 AND I LOVE IT, i like the touch screen and being able to see where it goes on the mat.

Instead of the E2, I would suggest that you get a Gypsy to go with your existing machines. The E2 is very similar to the Gypsy in format, but you get way more options with the Gypsy. I also have an Imagine & would recommend that before an E2... Good luck in your search!

Had the small 6" Cricut. Then bought the 12" Cricut. Have a Gypsy. Sold the small 6" Cricut at my garage sale this yr. Have the E2 but the 12" Cricut with the Gypsy is perfect for me. Had bought the Imagine in Day After Thanksgiving Sale at WalMart and returned it. Did not want to have to deal with buying inks for the Imagine. I buy enough ink for my HP printer which I use for my digital photography.

I have the original, Expression and Gypsy. I like that with the Gypsy, you can place your design anywhere on the mat. I don't even use my cartridges at all, they are all in a box put away. I do use the handbooks though. The Gypsy also gives you the Gypsy Wandering and Gypsy Fonts. I don't think the E2 would be that much different. The next one I get will probably be a Cameo or something else that can cut SVG.
