St Patrick's Day Cards

I used Simply Charmed and Create a Critter 2 as well as some Spellbinders Nestability dies on these cards. The sentiments came from K Andrew Designs.

Craft room organization

My new ribbon organizer and Clip It Up. It's so nice to have my ribbon out of the big basket and be able to see what I have. I am still hanging items up on the Clip It Up.

Baby photo props

Working on crocheting some baby photo props to sell. This is the first one.

St. Patrick's Day card

Had probably one of the worst nights ever last night. So much heartache caused by my older brother who is an alcoholic and drug addict. He is 32 and lives with my parents...no job... My other brother and I are concerned for their safety and this point so prayers that they finally do kick him out soon would be appreciated. All this stress has been pretty hard on me today.

Enough of the drama. This card was my little bit of craft therapy today. I used Simply Charmed to make the pot of gold. The stamp is from K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set. I put Crystal Effects of the shamrocks which are also from Simply Charmed.

This is Julie from www.thecricutchirp.com.  I used the Beautiful Thoughts stamp set on this mini album that I'm working on for my mom's birthday next month.  I still have a ways to go on it, but this is what I have done so far.  This is my first attempt at a paper bag style mini album, though I didn't actually use paper bags.  I'm using more of Kristal's stamp sets throughout the album, but the Beautiful Thoughts set is my favorite for this type of project as it is very inspiring.

This is also the first time that I used one "brand" of product, including embelishments for a project.  This is a Basic Grey line that I got for 50% off at Joanns.I went over a number of the embelishments with Crystal Effects to ad some nice shine.  I really like the metal flowers that came from Basic Grey.  Stop by my blog to say hi if you get a chance.  Happy crafting!

Plastic spoon rose

Ok these plastic spoon roses are a bit more complicated than the duct tape ones, but this was a fun challenge that my mom gave me to try. I used a heat gun instead of a candle like many YouTube tutorials suggest.

Paper Playtime Sentiment Challenge

I am entering this card in the Paper Playtime Sentiment Challenge this week.

I used K Andrew Designs animal pun stamp set. A friend of ours broke her hand in karate class this weekend, so this is special just for her. I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge to make the monkey. The shirt came from Paper Doll Dress Up, but I manipulated it on my Gypsy to get it to fit the 3" monkey. I hand cut the karate belt and punching bag. I used Crystal Effects to add some shine to the monkey face, belt and boxing bag.

Duct tape rose pen tutorial

I made a bunch of St.Patrick's Day duct tape rose pens to give to Meghan's preschool for the sign in table.

I made 20 duct tape rose pens for a friend baby shower. I will try to do a tutorial and video on this soon. I think I about have it down to a science now. I made more in the hospital while my husband was there for surgery. I gave one to his nurse and the rest to Meghan's teachers and preschool office staff.

Wedding invites

I've been finishing up the wedding invites for my brother in law. He's getting married in April and I need to get them all done today. They've turned out pretty nice.

Out of ATG

So is there any craft supply that you feel lost without? I found that mine is ATG tape refills. I ran out and was waiting for my Joanns to restock...they never did. Both of my closest stores have not had any refills for the past month! They are still stocking the gun so the fact that they are not stocking refills for it is pretty stupid. I gave in and ordered 12 on ebay so I should be set for awhile when it gets here.
Once you use an ATG gun it's pretty hard to go back to regular tape runners. The regular ones run out SO much faster and the tape isn't as good.

Duct Tape Barbie Clothes

I just sort of figured out how to do this Duct tape Barbie outfit. I made her a little purse and headband too. So cute!

Great Goodwill Find

Found this awesome dollhouse shelf at Goodwill for $3.00. Here's what I did with it.

Update

My husband had to have surgery yesterday. The kidney stone was too large to pass on its' own and had gotten stuck causing his kidney to swell up. OUCH! The doctor used a laser to break it up and put a stint in that will be removed in a week. He's home now resting.

Thinking I need some serious down time and craft therapy right about now. :-)

Prayers Needed

Nothing but drama at our house. My husband had to go to the ER via ambulance at around 1am. I tried to get him and our 3 year old there myself, but I have been going through terrible kidney pain the last couple weeks, so I don't know how I would have gotten that done on my own very easily. Poor Meghan was very confused and scared about the ambulance...although she would have been quite a bit more freaked out if it had been me going.

Anyway, my husband has kidney stones and an infection. They are admitting him to the hospital and thankfully his mom is with him. I know our family could really use some prayers. I am headed up to Cleveland Clinic for my own kidney problems on Monday so hopefully I can get some help as well. I think we're all a little sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I hope you are all having an excellent Wednesday.  This is Julie posting from thecricutchirp.com  I recently really got into making beaded stick pins ot use in cards and craft projects.  This is a pretty addictive hobby once you get started.  I already had a TON of beads sitting around in my craft stash, so I was happy to use them.

Rose duct tape pens for my desk

These rose duct tape pens turned out great. Going to put them on my desk at work and hope people don't realize they're pens....don't want them to walk away.

Happy Groundhog's Day

I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to an early Spring. I've had about enough of this snow. I made a couple of this 5" top hat shape cards using my Gypsy and the Independence Day cartridge. There is a nice top hat on Create a Critter as well, but the shape of this one worked well with welding on the Gypsy.
