Preschool Show and Share
I cut this penguin at 10" from the Simply Charmed cartridge.
The banner is from Birthday Bash. Not a big fan of the "g" font because Meghan got really confused by it since she hadn't seen that sort of g before.
Meghan LOVES to play with my stash of googly eyes so I decided the penguin definitely needed some.

Duct Tape Purses
Fun With Beaded Stick Pins
You can see how I used some of the pins on this floral arrangement that I did for my craft room. It cost less than $5. Spent $1 on the roses at the dollar store and already had everything else.

More Valentines
Ernie was cut at 5" from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge.
Big Bird was cut at 5" from the Sesame Street Friends cartridge.
Both Ernie and Big Bird are a pain to cut at this size, so I would not reccomend it. I used gel pens where the parts did not cut well....so pretty much Ernie's whole shirt...Big Bird's eye.

Redecorated Chirp's House
I used Create a Critter for the decorative grass and fish bowl. I drew a little man in the fish bowl since my husband thought it would be funny. I used a square punch to do the bed and table. The little frame is from Create a Critter as well as the shell. I punched the Cricut in the frame out of one of my Cricut cartridge manuals. Sooo fun. I used a square punch and hand cut the banner from the squares attaching them to green baker's twine with some glue dots. I cut the bottom carpet with some scallop scissors.
New Craft Room Companion
This is Chirp, my new Betta fish and craft room companion. Isn't she beautiful!!! I got inspired watching Melody's youtube post of her new Betta and decided it was such a great idea that I had to get one.
The tank was on sale for only $9.98. The fish that I picked was about $8.00 and I spent about $2.00 on extra food. Great deal for a new craft room buddy!

Valentine Wreath
Meghan had fun helping me ink flower petals for this Valentine wreath. It's all done and on our front door.
I used my new Flower Shop Cricut cartridge to make the flowers and the Birthday Bash cartridge for the banner. The hearts are just from a punch. I think it turned out SO pretty! I just love pink and green together....probably why my craft room is mostly pink and green.

More Valentine Mailboxes
The pink mailbox is pretty cool. I am going to fill it with Hershey kisses for Meghan's preschool teacher. The sentiments on both boxes are from K Andrew Designs. The "Love Ya" sentiment is from Southern Sayings and the other is from a tag along set that you unfortunately can't get anymore.
Valentine for Meghan's Teacher
Meghan is 3 and I let her start on this Valentine for her preschool teacher by stamping with Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Ink. She used a Stampin Up Valentine set that I won last year. Then Meghan helped emboss the paper with the candy hearts folder on the Cuttlebug. She LOVES to use my Cuttlebug. I think the act of just turning the handle makes her feel like a "big girl."
I pretty much did the rest of the Valentine myself....short attention span Meghan. :-)
The sentiment is another from K Andrew Designs.
The Feb 14 sentiment is from a $1 stamp set that I found in the Joanns dollar bin the other day.
Valentine Mailbox
I used Scotch Quick Dry glue on this, but a hot glue gun would probably be easier when you get to gluing the top on. I plan on making another one for Meghan's preschool teacher, so I think the next one will go together easier. I cut this at 5".
The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs "Of Mice and Little Men" stamp set.
Birthday card
The stamp is from K Andrew Designs More Food For Thought set.

Valentine Decor
Made a couple Valentine houses for decoration using the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge. There are some Create a Critter dinosaurs hiding inside.
Entered these into the Scrappy Mom's Out of The Box Challenge.

Get Well Cards
I know so many people that have gotten seriously sick this year. I think this hot to cold weather is not helping. When it jumps back and forth everyone seems to get sick. Anyways, I needed to make up some get well cards. Here are a couple I finished. I got into my Teddy Bear Parade stash of bears I made a long time ago and found the doctor bear, which is perfect for my friend with pneumonia.
The girl dressed as a bee is from the Cricut Lite Trick or Treat cartridge. I found the sparkly fun foam in my scrap stash and decided that it would be perfect for the grass. I love the effect!

Uses For Scrap Paper - Getting Cricky Design Team Post
I am a married mom of one three year old girl named Meghan, aka Meggie. We have a very musical family. I play fiddle, piano, guitar and some Irish Bodhran drum. My husband plays bagpipes, tin whistle and flute. We stay pretty active in the Irish and Scottish community and I stay pretty active with my crafting. I work full time for a bank as a compliance auditor and have been there for almost 12 years now. Hard to believe I started out there when I was 19!!!
I've been crafting since I could pick up a pen in church and doodle, so I was probably about 3 years old. I used to teach scrap booking classes through Creative Memories for a number of years, which I loved while I was in college. Now I am pretty addicted to my Cricut and drawing digital stamp images for others. I got pretty sick after having my daughter three years ago and through that struggle I found strength in making the world a little better place for others, so maybe other people might not have to go through the same struggle that I did. I am still dealing with my medical problems, but have grown so much through the struggle.
THE TUTORIAL - In case you want to skip the BIO. :-)
I'm sure like me, many of you have made some New Years Resolutions for 2013. This year I PROMISED myself that I would really focus on using up more of my scrap paper stash. I recently did a massive craft room clean up, throw out, and organization.
I had to throw away a lot of scrap paper, which made me sick because I hate to waste paper. Ultimately all the pretty bits of paper were really starting to take over my craft space and stress me out, so I feel much better now that I narrowed it down to two boxes of scraps.
Tools used;
Paper trimmer
Cropodile
Corner rounder
ATG tape
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Stamp Block
"Guy Talk" K Andrew Design stamp set "Badda Bing"
I hope you get inspired to use more of your paper scraps this year too!

Craft room organized
Ok I am slightly exhausted, but it feels great to have my craft room organized. I still have more that I'd like to do on the walls...maybe some shelving.
I am pretty satisfied with the level of organization, even though this may still look like organized mayhem. I now have the ability to utilize my entire work space without tripping over mounds of paper on the floor. Since I finally figured out a better way to organize my 12 x 12 paper stacks, I have much more space to work with. I still need to figure out something better for my ribbon. I would love to put a ribbon spool holder on the wall. Right now my ribbon stash is in a large plastic basket under the table.
